Looking to get back into WOW

Hi all

I have not played WOW for over a year and thinking of getting back into

WOW

What is wow population like as I read a lot of players have left the game I was playing on frostmourne server

and does the game have a lot of problems E.G bugs, nerfs and lag

how would you rate cata

thx|||Cataclysm is my favorite update so far. Wow population has never been higher. A lot of people are always leaving the game, but more come in than leave. Wow's population is still growing, although not as fast as it used to grow.

This game has its share of problems, but overall I think it is below the average for the gaming industry. Nerf isn't really a "problem". It's just what devs do to their game, all devs and all games.|||Cata is really nice. I came back for cata and just cancelled my sub today. I don't have an issue with the game; I am just at a point where my next step is regular raiding and I can't commit to it.

I suggest giving it a shot. It is a great mmorpg.|||Id suggest coming back - so much has changed!

I stopped playing for a good couple of years and when I came back it was almost like a new game since so many areas are different :)|||Just be warned that since much has changed, it might not be all good if there was anything in particular that you liked about the game before.

I for one did the opposite of what several posters here did and actually quit when Cata launched, largely due to what they decided to do with my favourite playable race and quite a few old zones that apparently only I liked back in the day.

Now, even I can't deny that there were a few features I was curious about checking out, but for me the scales tilted too heavily to the negative side for the game to be worth my money anymore.

Still, I imagine very few players have my stubborness about certain things, and will be able to enjoy Cata despite a few little flaws here and there.|||Quote:

so what zones and and race did they messup for you?|||Quote:

Kind of irrelevant to this discussion, but let's just say that I was a diehard night elf player who'd have rather given up an existing class choice than get stuck with the mages(knowing who they are and where from), and that footage of Darkshore is but one of many sights that just make me want to bang on my desk in frustration and wonder what's the point when 90% of the "cataclysm guns" seem to be pointed in only one direction.

Or indeed what would I do with the ability to fly in Azeroth when half the places I wanted to see went up in smoke anyways.|||After reaching my first 80 which took months because i only played like 1 hours a day.I created a 2nd toon and was able to level that toon up 1-80 in 5 days without a guide...Guides are for noobs in my thought. How i leveled so fast is because i spend a average every day 15-18 hours, all you gotta do is grind one quest after another.don't worry about professions and only get the stuff u need.

The very first 24 hours of game play i went 1-44

The 2nd day i went 44-61

3rd day 61-72

4th day 72-78

5th day 78-80

The issue with people now days there to lazy, they chat so much in guilds,or just any chat plus they sit in citys and fool around and talk to people.

If you was to take 4 days no sleep,Don't join a guild, ignore anyone who bothers you, don't work on professions and jsut grind one quest after another and only stop questing for mounts and spells. You would be able to do it in prob 4 days.

Caz the 4th day i did a few instance which slowed me up or i would of hit 80 in 4th day.|||I can understand your reasoning, but personally, I would never ignore professions.

Whenever I start an alt, I usually take herbing and mining and just gather whatever I see. You would be amazed at how many experience points this brings. Whenever I get some materials together, I sell them in the AH.

Horses for courses?|||Bah, waflob, getting those herb and ore nodes makes you level to 80 in at least 7 days, rather than 5. What a grand waste of time that is!

Seriously, chatting every now and then or fooling around in guild or in a city is not lazy, it's a choice of how you want to play. I have been playing basically since launch and I am since long out of the "smell the roses" phase... But the way you play, Noblebeast, I will never understand that. I play single player games for that. But hey, to each their own.
