So sick of bots and exploits that im actually raging.

Figure I would give myself an appropriate name. I keep seeing fishbots randomly run around and throw dozens of fish stacks on the ah. I see exploiters beneath the world that I can't attack, and now there is that stupid proffesion exploit that was recently found.

Making money is so much harder and prices keep going up. It just seems that if you don't exploit, you are left behind. Am I the only one that thinks this way?

Videos to show you guys what I'm talking about:

Exploit skill gain for mining/herbalism - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GbW2QChZ4Fc

Getting a bit ridiculous here!|||I don't mind fishing or gathering exploits because I don't do much of that myself. But bots in PvP are just endlessly annoying. You can't report them AFK but in the meantime you're playing 7 against 10.

Better get used to it though. For some time now Blizzard's response is 'We're working on it' and 'We want to deal with this systematically, single offenders aren't important'. Read between the lines; they don't have the tools or manpower to remove this from the game.|||I've noticed that Blizzard has been a lot quicker lately in responding to reports of underground farmers. The last ticket I put in had the botter offline (and not returning) in less than a half hour, with the auto response of "thank you for the report" also happening very quickly. Some other people I've talked to have had similar experiences. That's a big step up from the start of the expansion, where it was close to a week before the bots I reported stopped logging in.

It's still very irritating, but it does honestly look like Blizzard is trying to deal with the problem. Unfortunately, as long as there are lazy people willing to pay for gold, there will be people trying to find the next exploit.

The profession leveling exploit really doesn't seem like that big of a deal. All it takes to screw that one up is someone else mining/herbing in the area and actually looting the nodes. (Not to mention nodes are so plentiful now in the old world, I'm not sure that's really any faster for leveling, plus you don't get the stuff to sell.)|||Quote:

Thats great! I reported a few today but have not received anything yet.

The main problem with the profession exploit, and its a HUGE one is that you can have 2-3 "bots" going around that one area and just getting skill ups FROM THE SAME node, bypassing the toil of actually having to find the nodes. This is usually done in caves and those of us that are actually mining, well this is a pain.

I saw a group of three doing this earlier today and killed them all. Sure enough, all bots. They kept trying to randomly run and stop. Only one would attack me and it was a cow hunter, so he didn't really stand a chance. All three would just travel in a path between the nodes and "gather" them, then go back to the start to start of the cave and do it again.

Like I said, I reported those aholes but this is getting pathetic. We need some sort of auto ban feature. If enough people report someone, they are banned untill a gm investigates them. We go Minority Report on em lol.|||Quote:

I know this sounds cynical, but I'd rather them bot some nodes than bot BGs to level. At least with the mining/herbing they aren't really affecting anyone else. If they aren't looting it, it shouldn't stop you from just grabbing the node as you go by after them.
