Help a WoW nub out!

[:1]Wuddup bros? i herd alotz about world of wcraft but have never been a player. (except IRL, im a player there, but with the ladies ). im pretty much one of the best gamers at other games like CS, TF2, COD, BF, Frogger, SMB, Crysis... but i never did get into RPG games.

a few questions for yall pros!

how long does it take to get good at this game? like i said, im one of the best gamers at FPS, but i dont play RPG games except frogger.

how good do i have to be before i can slay dragons? thats really the main reason i want to play wowcraft. the problem with COD and Frogger is that there are zero dragons to be found.

what kinds of characters can i be? id like to be a dragon if thats possible, but only if i can have the thumbs needed to carry a sword.

what kinds of swords can i use in the game? i have a huge sword collection in my room, so big in fact that some of it has spilled over into my parents hallway which gets them kind of POed, but w/e. anyway, id like to know if all of the swords are made up or if ill be able to use something like one of my real swords in the game?
