Anybody else? I know I am. I don't enjoy how with the goblins they went all steampunk, (which I know the goblins are,) but when I heard we were getting goblins I thought they were rich, and we were going to be starting out in a fancy zone and be all official organization-like. When I made one and realized everything looked like if I touched it grease would come off, I was kinda disappointed. Worgens are okay, but way too many people play them, so that kind of diminished the whole experience for me. What do you guys think? Next expansion I want a new hero class... Not new races.
Pardon all the likes, I've changed them. Sometimes I type a bunch of them subconsciously. Thanks for being understand and not making fun of them.
-_-|||The only reason like that everyones playing the new races like is because they're like new like.
It'll like calm down in like a few months.|||I like haven't played and of like them because like i am playing like my Rogue to like 85 and likely like will not bother with like the new races like.
WTF is with all the likes man?
Like WTF?|||I won't play them, I dislike leveling.|||Judging from the Venture Company and places like Ratchet and Booty Bay, they pretty much met my expectations ;). The gnome starting zone is pretty awesome with the steampunkness, and they get light sabers.
Worgen are pretty awesome, I'm not really bothered by the amount of people playing them. The only that that bugs me a bit is people being inconsiderate, but thats a human trait when people want something. I mean, people have literally died over Black Friday sales...|||I'm really enjoying leveling my Worgen Rogue, though that's more to do with the class than the race. I do like the looks of my Worgen and their 'mount', but I don't think the racial traits are the most effective. Still, it beats Draenei and at last Alliance have a big mean race.|||I don't like the goblin starting because the quests are too cutesy and not my generation I guess. Racecars and hosting a pool party? Yup, not for me.
However I like the Worgen storyline very much and am having fun with that.|||Quote:

If all goblins started out rich and fancy, they'd never leave their first zone.
Why else would goblins be so greedy and profit-oriented? They begin their existence in sheer poverty, and spend the rest of their lives trying to escape it.|||I know this isn't quite the same, but the goblin NPCs are really starting to get annoying, so much so that I've started turning the sound off completely when doing AH stuff.
They're nasty, anti-social little !"$ers who really would get a slap in RL - almost tempted to roll an alliance char, just to get in an Org raid and kill them.|||I rolled a worgen dudu and did the start zone. I realy liked it, realy well designed atmosphere. I bought the werewolf stuff right from the start. It feels claustrophobic and all, there is definitly a touh of horror movie :)
I also like the animations. Anything realy, i am happy with my worgen. Now if only i wouldnt have 3 lvl 80's to level ^^

3D Mouse in WoW
In my quest for one handed WoW gaming (and in my case, left handed as I have very limited use of my right hand, not enough to feel comfortable with a standard mouse or wasd), I've tried many different devices and programs to get the most out of WoW. The official mouse that came out a few years ago perked up my interest, but understandably it is made for right handed gamers. I've tried various programs with the 360 controller and even found one that worked for me for a while before it ended up crapping out. I recently tried the Logitech G13 as well once I found out the joystick was able to be used for mouse movement, but it's not meant for a faster paced, on the move game like WoW.
But now I found out about a 3D mouse that basically has 3 analog sticks that you're supposedly able to map to keys in WoW. Being left handed, it is great that both sides have a analog stick, as that means one will be accessible by my thumb. A second, I intend to make use of, is in between the right and left click buttons. I hope I'm allowed to link to this image, because it shows the setup and default layout of this mouse for WoW:
I think with the way it is setup by default, they are still (rightfully) assuming that the majority of people are going to use the majority of their spells by the keyboard. Here is what I was thinking, and this is where I thought you guys could add your thoughts and ideas about it. I'm going to be using mostly the middle and the right joystick, where in my case my left thumb would be placed. One of those, I plan to make WASD for movement. The other, I plan to make my abilities 1 2 3 4 by way of pressing up down left right. Anybody who has played console RPGs is probably familiar with using the analog directions for spells, but I realize to others it might sound strange. Now, my right hand, I think, will be able to handle pushing shift and control as a modifier, and that in conjunction with the analog I choose to use for 1 2 3 4 will access 5 6 7 8 9 0 - =. I realize this only leaves me with 12 abilities, though. Maybe I can also use alt for 4 more spells. I think I'll be able to manage with 12-16 frequently used spells. For the rest used less frequently, maybe I could use the scroll through the action bars feature?
The analog stick that would be accessed by my ring finger or my pinky finger doesn't seem like it would be that easy to use, though I suppose I won't know until I get my hand on the mouse. I figured I would map stuff like jump, map, quest log and bags there. Useful stuff that isn't that pertinent to have fast reflexes on them. What would you use it for?
Thanks for reading and (hopefully!) replying to my long winded post, I find the people here more intelligent and helpful overall, so I hope to see a few new ideas for when my new mouse arrives in a couple of days, and I hope even more it will allow me to finally play WoW comfortably!|||For you and your issues, I'm sure it's great. I have the opposite problem in that I am susceptible to repetitive motion injuries in my hands from computers (web designer and a gamer), knitting, and violin, so I'll be staying away from this mouse myself.
However, report back and let people know how it goes. There have been other people posting here who have had similar issues to yours and it would be nice to be able to point them at something that might help.
...Ren|||Interesting..|||First impressions of the mouse aren't good after a couple hours with it. Everything works, but the analogs are a bit smaller than I thought they would be. Also, WASD isn't as fluid on the analog stick as it is on the G13. It's not really playable. I'll continue to tweak the settings and try it out more for a few days, but I don't think it's a comfort thing.

Anyone want to start playing wow or make a new acct
Im looking to find someone to play with me. I Will give you all keys. all i need from you is to have a working unused gametime card. i do not want to give $130 worth of game to someone who isn't serious about playing with me. u will need to show proof of a purchased gametime card. i know it seems steep but its $130
*contact details removed*|||Either use the realm forums, the official RAF-program, or some other forum. This request is way too fishy to allow here.|||ok i don't need proof of a gametime card but i need somthing to show your willing to level a few chars and buy at least one month.|||I'm not just talking about the proof of gametime, I am actually dead serious. There are so many official ways of finding friends to play with, you don't need to pay for anyone's copy of the client and your request is fishy at best. I refuse to turn this forum into some fishy black market kind of trading hub.
Thread closed.
EDIT: Since he still didn't get the message, he went bye-bye.

Voa
Is there an equivalent to VOA from winning tol barad now? If not does blizz have any intention of implementing one? Would be nice to take a break from bg's and they horrendous honor grind.|||Baradin Hold in Tol Barad is the new VoA. However, it's rather difficult with a very strict enrage timer. You need very good dpsers and can only take 2 healers if you want to beat it.

Are any of the class/race under or overpowered?
Im instilling WOW as I type, and have a few questions. This will be my first MMO but Im very familiar with "Class" type games. I could talk all day about class set ups in Call of Duty, but Im a simpleton in regards to WOW. Are any of the classes or races over/underpowered? And are some races better for certain classes? Im pretty sure Im gonna select the worgen race.
If this had all ready been covered in a different thread, please just point me in that direction. Thanks.|||They all are and none of them are :)
Blizzard does an amazing job of balancing all the classes - you occasionally get one that's overpowered but they'll get nerfed pretty quickly.
Just pick whichever you feel like :)|||What Erinion said is true - today's over-powered flavour-of-the-month class will be the forum QQers of tomorrow :-)
Here's my humble suggestion: pick a race that appeals optically. You will spend quite a bit of time looking at it, so why make it hard on the eyes ...
Then, try out a few classes and see what you like. It doesn't take long to get to lvl 20 or so and by then, you should get a feel for how that class plays. If you like it, carry on. Otherwise, think about what it was that you didn't really like and see what other classes give an alternative.
Above all else, have fun !|||Every class goes through changes over time. As Waflob said, a class that gets a tweak that makes them overpowered may get another tweak that makes them underpowered, and then another that puts them in balance again. WoW isn't a static game -- things are always changing -- so just pick what you think appeals to you and stick with it. You can't really know if you like a class until you get to level 20 or so with it and have had some time to play with their abilities.
There are some racials that are arguably a tiny bit better than others for certain things, but honestly any race's special ability can help them out in some small way and in the long run, nobody's racial gives them a huge edge over anything. You're much more likely to stick with a character you find aesthetically appealing; the best racials in the world won't hold up if you can't stand the way a character looks, or runs, or sounds. For example, I love orcs, but a lot of people I know hate the way they look and thus would never stick to it. Some people hate how Taurens are so tall they can get stuck in the geometry, or hate the short races because it's comparatively harder to see what's going on, or hate humans because they are playing a fantasy game and don't want to play "themselves".
Racials should be a very minor concern. Personally I use them but pay no attention to them when I choose a race.
